POLY-KROMA 2024
POSTER DESIGN | MARKETING | COLLABORATION
BACKGROUND: Poly-Kroma is an annual event that consists of two distinct shows that celebrate Visual Communication Design and Fine Art directly resulting from coursework completed within Cal Poly Pomona’s Art Department. The two components of Poly-Kroma include the Industry Portfolio Showcase—also known as the graduating senior Visual Communication Design majors exhibition; and the 2D3D+ Juried Student Art Show—the annual Art Department’s student exhibition
RESULT: Developed and conceptualized the branding for an annual event, with a primary focus on creating a standout poster design that served as the foundation for the overall visual theme. The chosen concept was applied across various marketing materials, including print, digital, and social media assets.
DESIGN PROCESS: As part of a team of six graphic designers, we collaborated to create individual poster designs, each reflecting our unique styles. After each round of revisions, we held team discussions to highlight the elements we appreciated in each other's work and exchanged ideas for further iterations. Following several rounds of revisions and discussions, my typographic-themed design was chosen to move forward for the event.
