ASI PROJECTS & ON-CAMPUS EVENTS
VISUAL | GRAPHIC DESIGNER | MARKETING
BACKGROUND: Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to enriching student life at Cal Poly Pomona. It serves as the student government, but goes beyond that by providing annual funding for student clubs and organizations, diversity programs, and academic support. ASI also ensures student representation at both the campus level and across the California State University system.
INSIGHT: I worked with ASI for over a year and a half, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of clients on campus. I had the opportunity to take on different roles, design for various projects, and work on projects of different scales. I developed skills in client interaction, managed multiple project timelines, and collaborated across teams within the Marketing, Design, and Public Relations department.
Bronco Spotlight
OVERVIEW: Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) hosted the first-ever Bronco Spotlight event, celebrating the diverse talents and cultures of the CPP campus. Students and clubs took center stage with live performances and interactive booths, highlighting their skills, resources, and community spirit. The event created a space for creativity to thrive, with vendors showcasing their merchandise and businesses.
RESULTS: Over a period of six weeks, Bronco Spotlight was developed and integrated into various design and marketing materials. The deliverables included both print and digital marketing collateral, social media assets, and a digital program to provide guests with detailed information about clubs and performers.

SCUBA & Aquatic Instructor Profile Boards
OVERVIEW: Cal Poly Pomona's Bronco Recreational Intramural Complex (BRIC) is the college's hub for recreational sports and fitness, managed by Associated Students Incorporated (ASI). ASI offers a range of aquatic programs, including water diver courses, scuba certifications, and various aquatic classes, all led by highly certified and trained instructors. The SCUBA and Aquatics department needed a space to showcase their instructors' profiles, highlighting their majors, certifications, and favorite dive classes.
RESULTS: My task was to create profile boards for each instructor, designing them to reflect and complement the vinyl graphics installed earlier by my colleague, Asha Ray. I incorporated some of her design elements into the profile boards to maintain a cohesive look. The outcome was fifteen framed instructor boards that effectively highlighted each member of the department.
Bronco Student Center Evacuation Plan Maps
OVERVIEW: Cal Poly Pomona's Bronco Student Center (BRIC) is a central hub for student life, activities, and services on campus. Managed by the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI), the BSC offers a variety of amenities, including dining options, study spaces, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and entertainment venues. It serves as a gathering place for students to relax, connect, and participate in clubs, events, and cultural activities.
RESULTS: I was tasked with updating all the evacuation plan maps for the Bronco Student Center (BSC). The previous maps were outdated, lacked accuracy with the building's current layout, and did not follow a consistent design style. I worked with the most up-to-date master map file to create section-specific maps for each evacuation exit. The project resulted in the creation of 38 newly updated and cohesive maps, which were then posted throughout the facility to improve safety and clarity.
